CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

001I
001		 Understanding Computers This class was conceived as probably one of the most important of classes.  This class will teach you the basic principles of how and why a computer works. When you are done you will no longer be confused about the difference between hard drive space and memory.  You will be able to look at the specifications of a computer when you are considering buying one and will actually know what you are looking at.   Reference materials will be provided for you to take with you after the class.

COST:  The class 001I is an introductory class and will be offered FREE of charge as an introduction of our training classes.  001 is the same class but, offered later and will be $40/person.
LENGTH: Estimated two or more hours depending on your questions.
002 Windows 9x Beginner This class is offered for the complete beginner and will focus on how to use Windows 95, 98, and ME.  The concepts discussed will be relevant to Windows 2000 and Windows XP as well.  Concepts covered will be copy, cut, and paste, control panel concepts, how to access the internet, how to send email, and the basics.  This is offered as a basic course for people who are not ready for the other courses yet and need a basics course.

003 Caring for your computer This course will go through many concepts explaining security issues, several techniques for keeping your machine running smoothly, some basic steps to try if your machine is not running properly, how to deal with computer viruses, and other techniques that are mandatory for any computer owner.  These techniques should not be difficult for anyone if they have the equivalent of classes 001 and 002.

004 Using the internet effectively This course will teach you tricks for getting the most from the internet.  It will teach you different search engines, provide you with a lot of free resource sites such as web page hosting, email, and more.  This class is designed to help you begin using the internet effectively and should save you some time learning it yourself.  If you have been using the internet for awhile now you probably will only learn a few things from this class.  This class is intended for those new to the internet.   You should have the equivalent knowledge of that described in class 002.

005 HTML Basics of Web Design Web page design can be done without using raw HTML anymore but, it is still what is used behind the scenes by the program you use.  It is therefore, very valuable to know the basics of HTML.  In addition, by knowing the basics of HTML you will be set to make nice looking ONLINE AUCTIONS later should you decide you wish to sell items on sites such as Ebay and Amazon.  Without knowing HTML basics your auctions will look primitive and will not generate as much interest as if you know it.   This will cover the HTML, BODY, FONT, A HREF, B, U, CENTER, and IMAGE tags as well as a few additional items.  IF you already know what I am referring to in the above tags then you do not need to take this class.  This class assumes you have the knowledge explained in courses 002 and 004.
